No, it definitely doesn’t taste like mushrooms!

Some of the mushrooms can smell quite strong in the mix but this doesn't come out in the taste.

We have worked long and hard to develop the unique flavour of our Herbal Koffee. It combines the earthy, roasted notes of chicory, barley, and rye with a subtle hint of spices and flowers added.

While it doesn't taste exactly like traditional coffee, it strikes a delicious balance between your familiar coffee ritual and something new and distinctive that we are sure you will love.

Many of our testers found it to be a satisfying and enjoyable alternative to both coffee and pure mushroom powders.

We recommend starting with one cup a day to give your body time to adjust to the fibre content (if its not used to a lot of fibre). Then slowly increase as desired. The same goes for the mushrooms - you can work up to multiple cups per day. Listen to your body and adjust as needed.

With 360 mg of mushrooms per cup, it's the perfect dosage for a gentle introduction to mushrooms. If you would like to increase to multiple cups per day, that works too!

Our Herbal Koffee contains chicory root powder. Chicory root is known to facilitate digestion by contributing to the stimulation of digestive fluids. So, if you rely on your morning coffee to keep you regular, Herbal Koffee should do the job just as well!

Our Koffee is free from stimulants and caffeine so yes, you can consume this any time in the day. Some people are more sensitive to the properties of mushrooms however, so we would advise to test it for the first time in the earlier part of the day. The exception to that is our Floral Koffee which contains Reishi known as a great pre-bedtime mushroom.

While our mushroom-powered Koffee is natural and caffeine-free, there is not a lot of research on pregnancy & chicory or some functional mushrooms like reishi and maitake, so we would advise against consuming.

To ensure their quality and potency, our products undergo rigorous laboratory testing.

We use only extracts from purely the cell wall of the mushroom (not just powders of the mushroom) and contain only the fruiting bodies (the beneficial part), excluding the mycelium (the less desirable root found in cheaper powders).
